Berlin Festival is an experience like none other. Held this year at the magnificent Arena Berlin events space on the city’s waterfront, the city of Berlin blasts away all barriers and embraces the spirit of the town, bringing beats, bands and urban art to the historical venue.
This year, Berlin Festival will take it to the next level. For the first time ever, the festival, which takes place from 5th to 7th September as part of the Berlin Music Week, will take off at 11pm on Friday night to continue until the lights are turned off on Sunday at 11pm. For 48 hours straight, urban culture will take shape in all its facets at a single location in the heart of vibrant Kreuzberg.
The only thing festivalgoers need to enjoy the 48-hour madness is one single ticket to come and go whenever you please or stay at Arena for the duration of the festival.
In addition, their partner festival, First We Take Berlin, will take place in Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain’s club scene on Thursday, 4th and Friday, 5th as part of the Berlin Music Week. The first 2,000 Berlin Festival ticket buyers will receive a free ticket to First We Take Berlin (instead of paying EUR 20 + booking fees).
After attending last year’s week-long festivities (check out our review on http://invasinomag.com), we were left speechless by the entire experience. Berlin is simply one of, if not the, most epic cities anywhere in the world, and the annual Berlin Festival takes the Berlin experience to dizzying new levels. With an mammoth 2013 lineup spanning rock, indie and electronica, and the daily festivities extending through the night and into the wee hours of the morning in a heap of clubs around the city, it’s an insomniac’s worst nightmare and dream come true all rolled up in one incredible package.
