The Secret Garden Party is an annual independent arts and music festival which takes place in Abbots Ripton near Huntingdon. This location is on part of the grounds of a Georgian farm house and has its own lake, river and landscaped gardens. The festival was launched by Fred Fellowes in 2004 as an alternative to the established mainstream music festivals.
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and magical festivals in all the land, the Secret Garden Party overflows with creativity, colour and mystery. Set in a 10 acre landscaped garden, bordering a river and a lake, the Secret Garden Party is a true escape from normality, with surprises and new experiences around every corner.
Creativity, participation, exploration and adventure are the motivators for organisers and gardeners alike. The many installations are there to be played and engaged with, rather than observed. Play being the key word; behaving silly and getting messy are encouraged and expected rather than frowned upon.
